Overview[edit]

Each course is completely free, similar to OnlineDegree.com. To receive credit, you must pay $35 (as of January 2022) and take a proctored exam. LawShelf credits will transfer to colleges and universities including Excelsior College[1] and Thomas Edison State University[2]. Charter Oak State College, Western Governors University and University of Maine at Presque Isle do not accept NCCRS credit at all, so will not accept LawShelf credits.

Course Structure[edit]

Courses at LawShelf consist entirely of videos and knowledge-check quizzes. The exams themselves are open-book and use VoiceProctor as their proctor with no webcam required. If you fail a LawShelf exam, you are allowed to retake it after paying for another exam.

Equivalencies[edit]

These equivalencies are not guaranteed. They are offered here only as a guideline. A course not being listed here does not mean that it isn't accepted. It only means that its equivalency (if any) has not yet been reported. Please check with your advisor to ensure that the desired course will work as expected.
